I prepared the business case and financial justification for an acquisition of a food business in Egypt. As the deal progressed I became involved in several crucial activities including negotiations with the owners, due diligence, and eventually in training the local team to handle Unilever financial planning and reporting. A change in organisation also brought me into the latter stages of a similar project to acquire a detergents and cosmetics business, also in Egypt.
